Welcome to the 2009 LAKE DARDANELLE BIG BASS CLASSIC information page.

The Russellville Advertising and Promotion Commission along with

Wilkins Bros. Outdoors are proud to partner again this year in bringing

you the annual LAKE DARDANELLE BIG BASS CLASSIC.

Some of the highlights and changes to this years event are as follows:

                                                           
PAYOUT

$5000 will be awarded both Saturday and Sunday to the largest bass caught.

$500 for the hourly prize, plus $4500 for the daily BIG BASS for a total of $5000.

In addition, Wilkins Bros. Outdoors is adding another $5000 BONUS for the

biggest bass caught of those two days.   What this means to the fisherman:

 Example -               1st Day                                                     2nd Day

                        6.6 lb. - 1st place                       4.5 - 1st place

                        6.4 lb. - 2nd place                      4.3 - 2nd place

                        6.1 lb. - 3rd place                       3.9 - 3rd place

The 2nd day BIG BASS, even though smaller than the 2nd and 3rd place 1st day

fish, will be worth more than the 2nd and 3rd overall BIG BASS of the tournament.

Second and Third place overall will be paid, based on the number of entries.  Last

year they were worth $2500 and $1500 respectively.

The $5000 first place for Saturday and Sunday is based on 200 entries each day.

Last year, we easily exceeded 200 entries each day.

                                                
HIGHLIGHTS

You may launch from anywhere on Lake Dardanelle.

First cast is at 6:00 a.m.

You may trailer to the weigh-in site.

Weigh-in site is Lake Dardanelle State Park, Russellville.

Fishing is limited to Lake Dardanelle, no locking through.

Weigh-ins are at the top of the hour,
starting at 8:00 a.m., last one 1:00 p.m.

If there is high flow on the Arkansas River, contestants are encouraged to launch at their favorite Bay or tributary
launch site and trailer to the weigh-in.

SAVE $30 by doing Early Entry and signing up for both days, rather than Late Entry and signing in each day.
